Sunday’s Cleaning Services, LLC

Hello, thank you for joining me here. I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself.

My name is Sunday Lewis. I am the owner and founder of Sunday’s Cleaning Services, LLC. While on paper my business officially started in September 2025, my cleaning journey began long before that honestly, when I was about 11 or 12 years old… maybe younger.

A Little Background

As a child, you could usually find me under someone’s feet in the kitchen (most of the time my granny’s), wiping cabinet doors and walls. I always wanted to help clean and paid close attention to everything my grandmother and mother taught me.

Somewhere at my mom’s house there’s even a floppy disk (yeah, a floppy disk!) with a PowerPoint about my love for cleaning and organizing.

On my 16th birthday, my mom asked what I wanted, and I begged for a new vacuum. I actually got one. I was genuinely happy and excited about it. That probably tells you everything you need to know about how long this has been in me.

Later on, my mother became a hotel supervisor at the Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, Oklahoma, before the tower hotels were built. She would come home and teach me the tips and tricks she learned on the job. Partly because she knew I genuinely loved cleaning. I’d even skip school sometimes (not encouraging that!) just to deep clean and organize our home.

My father owned Lewis Flooring Covering custom tile and granite countertops, later renamed Lewis Remodeling. I started going to job sites with him around age 12, helping with active construction cleans and final cleans. That gave me early experience with post-construction cleaning, make-ready services, and what it takes to prepare a home for move-in. He ran his business for many years until health issues forced him to close it in my late 20s/early 30s.

I also spent time helping an aunt clean a few foreman trailers on oil rig sites. She noticed how fast and thorough I was, which stuck with me.

Many summers as a teenager were spent babysitting and cleaning houses usually both at once. I started helping cousins, then my dad’s helpers, then my mom’s coworkers. I’ve always had a soft spot for single parents doing their best for their children.

I even used to sneak into my parents’ house after I moved out just to deep clean it and leave a quiet way of saying thank you for raising me.

Turning Experience Into a Business

In July 2025, I quit my phlebotomy job with no backup plan. I had already been doing residential cleaning on the side because $15/hour doesn’t pay bills. I figured I’d lean into cleaning while working toward real estate.

I completed that class in June 2026.

Now here I am in February 2026 with an LLC, insurance, bonding, and registrations with both the State of Oklahoma and SAM.gov, which allows me to provide janitorial and cleaning services for government contracts.

I knew how to clean. What I had to learn was how to run a business. I took what I learned from my father and combined it with skills from years of working different jobs and here I am, still growing, still learning.

Why I Specialize in Make-Ready Cleaning

I’ve specialized in make-ready cleaning services since I started because it’s where I shine.

Make-ready cleans (also called move-out cleaning, rental turnover cleaning, or move-in cleaning) can be light, but most of the time they’re detailed and that’s what I love. Property managers and landlords I work with know I’m reliable and efficient. I take pride in my work because if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.

I enjoy taking a home someone else lived in for months or years and preparing it for the next person. Moving is stressful enough that nobody wants to move into a home that still holds someone else’s mess or memories.

My Cleaning Process

I’ve been told I’m meticulous and I agree.

When I arrive at a property, the first thing I notice is the driveway and walkway. Then the front door, door frame, and windows (curb appeal matters). Once inside, I immediately look at light fixtures, ceiling fans, vents, and ceilings (somehow ceilings always have weird stuff on them). Then I check window seals, walls, baseboards especially corners and floors.

I also count how many electrical outlets and light switches there are, how dirty they are around the edges, and I pay close attention to door handles and knobs. Those are high-touch areas that get missed a lot.

And that’s just the living room.
